Church parade There is a church parade on Sunday 15th November at St Paul’s UR Church, 11am – 12noon. This is our special shoe box appeal Parade service. We would like as many Brownies as possible to attend Church Parade, and parents are of course more than welcome to come and watch their children carrying the flag. Brownies need to arrive by 10.50am and should wear Brownie uniform. Shoe Boxes During next weeks meeting we will be making up shoe boxes for the parade. Rather than making up individual boxes, which we know is a lot of work (especially as many schools are also doing shoe boxes this year) we will be doing joint shoe boxes as a pack. We will be making up boxes for girls of brownie age. ‘Blythswood Care’ will take the boxes out to Eastern Europe and Asia to distribute amongst people who are less fortunate than ourselves. Many things that we take for granted are luxuries that they could never buy. If the girls could bring in one or more items from the list suitable for an 8-12 year old girl. |
